Representative of the Center “Collaboration without Borders” will meet with Polish Public Prosecutor General21.12.2011
On December 22nd at 11:00 at Prosecution General there will be a meeting of representatives of Belarusian and international organizations with Polish Deputy Attorney General, Robert Hernand. From the organizations, Ihar Shchekarevich, the representative of the Centre “Collaboration without Borders”, Anatolij Mihnovets, representative of the “Union for Democracy in Belarus” and human rights activist Andrej Żukowiec will participate in the meeting.
During the meeting they schedule to discuss about the numerous violations of civil rights in Poland to the Belarusian opposition activists, namely, about the decision of prosecution in Bydgoszcz on the prohibition of the Belarusian national white-red-white flag during sport events and long-term persecution of Bialystok prosecutor to Andrej Żukowiec.
Belarusians are also interested in the reason why the employees of Polish Prosecution General, who gave the Belarusian authority bank details of Aleś Bielacki, so far did not suffered a deserved punishment.
According to representatives of organizations, prosecutions of various Polish cities are responsible for all of these violations. Activists do not exclude that some of these decisions of prosecutions were made in cooperation with the Belarusian regime.
Robert Hernand agreed to meet with activists after getting the letter to Public Prosecutor General from Center “Collaboration without Borders”, “Association for Democracy in Belarus”, “Young Front”, “Belarusian Christian Democracy” and “European Belarus” . In this appeal, the organization asked for a meeting with the leader of Public Prosecutor General to discuss about the numerous violations of the rights of the Belarusian opposition activists in Poland.
