Ukrainian band “Violet” has won “A dozen hits” Award. This is a popular contest held by Belarusian Internet site Tuzin.fm. Rewarding took place in Minsk on September, 16. The group performed the song “Place of suffering,” which won the 4th place in the final chart, and several songs in Ukrainian. The songs sounded in the acoustic version, but were warmly welcomed by the Belarusian public.
Receiving the award, frontman of “Violet” Sergey Martyniuk thanked the author of the song “Place of suffering,” Jan Mauser. He also invited Belarusians to the festival “Bandershtat”, which is annually held in Lutsk.
Let us remind that “Violet” with the song “Place of suffering” was the first member of the project “Ukrainian music for Belarus”, in which Ukrainian musicians sing protest songs in Belarusian language. The project was initiated by the Center «Collaboration without borders».
